The ABD100 Test Suite software, used in conjunction with a
SmartWaveTM ac/dc power source, provides a simple method to
test components and subsystems according to the complex power
requirements of the Airbus A380 aircraft. Utilizing the SmartWave'sTM
arbitrary waveform and powerful sequencing capability, the Test Suite
allows the user to select from a vast library of ABD100 compliant
tests to drive the device-under-test. In addition, the standard library
may be modified to develop custom tests for performing margin
analysis during design and development.
ABD 100 Test Specification
The ABD100 document details up to 10 different types of tests
required for equipment powered by any of five types of supply sources
available (Table A-E) on the A380. The SmartWaveTM/ABD100 Test
Suite combination provides the power waveforms for all supply source
types, addressing most of the specific tests (see compliance matrix). SWCS Utility Software, the basis for the ABD100 Test Suite,

The SmartWaveTM provides the hardware platform for the Test SmartWaveTM, ECDI rev. 5.05 or higher, DWSB rev. 2.4

ABD100 Compliance Matrix

Running under Windows XP/2000, the Test Suite provides a simple Test 1
method for the user to select and execute either single tests or a Test 2
sequence of tests compliant with the ABD100 standard. From the Test 3
SmartWaveTM Control Suite, a general-purpose software utility Test 4 --

ABD100TSS-A Table A tests only (115VAC/400Hz)
The Test Suite Test Selector allows the user to easily build
ABD100TSS-B Table B tests only (26VAC/400Hz)
a test sequence from the library of ABD100 compliant tests.
ABD100TSS-C Table C tests only (115VAC/variable freq)
Detailed descriptions of each test are provided for convenience
ABD100TSS-DE Table D & E tests only (Conventional and NBPT dc)
as well as the capability of saving a test sequence for future
recall.
To order combinations of tests, or the entire test set, add the Table
designator (A, B, C, DE) on to the end of the part number.
(e.g. to get both Table A & B, order ABD100TSS-AB; or entire test set,
ABD100TSS-ABCDE)
Once the test sequences are selected, the Test Executor allows
the user to run the tests with the press of a button. Test status
is displayed in three progress windows with total test time,
individual or sequence time and progress within a test, or
segment time.
